technology for the automotive and broader transportation sector. Our platform enhances
transparency, trust, and communication between dealers, OEMs, service centers, and their
customers. With partnerships across major dealer management systems and ambitious growth
goals to double ARR over the next two years, we are expanding our team to support our next
phase of innovation, growth and leadership in video technology.
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to bridge our Product Management team
with our technology development organization, to help own and drive the technical roadmap for
our SDKs, APIs, and microservices offerings. Your influence on our trajectory will be significant
as you help challenge and guide our vision and execution, supporting major partner integrations
and advancing our mobile and cloud capabilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical
leader who thrives at the intersection of product vision, engineering execution, and business
outcomes.
What You'll Do
Support and steward the technical roadmap for TruVideo’s SDKs, APIs, and microservices, aligning with partner and market needs in automotive and adjacent industries (e.g., trucking, RV, marine, aviation and others).
Collaborate closely with TruVideo’s CTO, CPO, and Video Product Manager to translate business objectives into technical requirements and actionable specs.
Write clear, crisp product requirements, including feasibility definitions that encompass technical specs, testing criteria, and partner-readiness standards.
Oversee R&D products, ensuring they have the right mix of business and technical input and oversight as they progress to viability.
Evaluate and guide the integration of mobile camera and AR technologies (e.g., supporting partner app use of mobile cameras for inspections, walkarounds, or AR overlays).
Work hands-on with engineering teams to overcome development hurdles and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
Coordinate effectively across onshore and offshore engineering teams (including teams in South America and India) to support scalable and efficient development.
Establish best practices for knowledge sharing, documentation, and technical product management within the organization.
Serve as a role model of technical and product excellence, with the runway to build out a TPM practice and grow into a Director-level leader within 1-3 years.
What You'll Bring:
2-6 years of experience in technical product management or closely related technical roles (e.g., software engineering, product management, engineering program management, solutions architecture or similar).
Strong background in mobile apps (iOS, Android) and cloud services; experience working with mobile camera APIs, AR frameworks (e.g., ARKit, ARCore), or related technologies is a plus.
Ability to write or review code (e.g., JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, or equivalent) and partner effectively with engineering.
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
Proven success delivering SDKs, APIs, or platform services that support third-party integrations.
Exposure to high-performing product or engineering organizations where TPMs played a critical role.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; capable of engaging technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Experience working with offshore teams, ideally in South America and/or India.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related equivalent
experience required.
